Joe was born in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles, California, growing up in the San Gabriel Valley, where Route 66 begins. When Joe was four, he remembers tickling his grandmothers Piano, and playing tunes, writing, and making up his own songs. He played first chair trumpet all through middle school and then first chair drumline captain. He immersed himself in music because home life wasn’t exactly the haven for which one would hope. Palma's music career officially began as he dropped out of college to pursue his dreams of becoming a rock ‘n’ roll star! He joined the band, Sistine, and had some success touring the West Coast, playing every major club in LA.
Joe began Palma Entertainment, a top-tier premier, DJ company, in 2018. In 2019, he and his brother, Mike Palma (Style's Guitarist), formed Style In Stereo with the idea of building a premiere event band. Recruiting a few musicians, orignially including keyboard player Christopher Lackey and lead vocalist Kimberly Wright, he grew Style in Stereo from a five-piece event band to it's now ten-piece show band including backup dancers and a full light and sound production. Style In Stereo has already played most major local venues and stages, gaining traction with local talent buyers.
Currently Joe is working on releasing some original songs he wrote about ten years ago and hadn't yet recorded them. The midnight and electro wave music in general have his ears paying close attention to production and tricks to the style.
Palma built a fully functional music studio equipped with top notch gear. It’s his haven. It’s home base.
“When I get in the studio and close and lock the door behind me, it’s like time stops.” - Joe Palma
Palma continues his road of rebuilding his life from years of alcohol and drug abuse. He quit in 2016 and never looked back. His wife, Elizabeth, and three children, Miles, Luna, and Bella, support their dad's mission to build something out of his music.
"It’s truly a blessing to be able to walk in my own studio and create music at the push of a button. I know I am blessed by the love my family sends, and all the wonderful friends I've made along my journey." - Joe Palma
He is inspired by people’s kindness and compassion.
